Salman Barnal aka Faqir was born and brought up in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India and is Currently based in Melbourne, Australia.

Playing guitar at a young age he was introduced to music and later to music production. Over the course of music production he discovered his sound and started writing too. He brings in a fresh & uniquely crafted Punjabi Trap Sound which stands out having a global presence.

Hustling his way out with continuous releases from 2020 along with his day job, he has worked with singers like Talwiinder (California), SXR (Kashmir Hip hop Scene). His tracks are the evidence of his mastery on the sound he has created which is the future in South Asian Punjabi Music.
